Aviva Antics

We were chosen to represent Athenry Soccer Club in the Aviva Stadium on Thursday the 14th May 2015. 

Only 10 children were chosen and we are very excited to be heading to Dublin to show off our skills in front of everyone!

Féile Under 14 champions

Today the Féile under 14, Athenry hurling champions came to our school to show us their cup. It was such an important day for us, as three of our pupils are on the team, along with one past pupil. 

It was an honour to have them visit and they gave us some motivational words of inspiration to keep training and keep giving our all, like we always do. 

The future of Newcastle hurling looks bright from here!

Under 10 Camogie Champs 2014

These are our county medals that we won when we played Sylon in June last year. It was great fun. 

Under 11 Camogie Champs!

The U11 girls won their county final on the 24th of July 2014 against Moycullen in Loughrea Park. It was a great win! We are very happy with the day. 

Under 12 Camogie Champs!

The Athenry U12 team won their county final on the 25th of July 2014. We played against Cois Farraige in Loughrea Park. It was a great win and we are very proud. These are the medals that we won. 

Our Duathlon Dynamo!

Yesterday my brother competed in a race called a duathlon. He was in the under sixteen age group and he is only eleven. This took place in Shannon. He came sixth in the race and in his own age group he came third. He also got a third place trophy. What a result!

Under 10's Division Five County Final Winners 2014

Here is our amazing camogie team that won the Division 5, county final, last year, against Sylone. Last Friday they were presented with their medals in the Athenry Golf Club and they were absolutely beaming coming to school on Monday with their lovely medals. We are enormously proud of them here in school and we would like to say a big CONGRATULATIONS to them.

Well done ladies!

Wahooo! We came 2nd place in Athlone!
